This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use Combo Rounds Timer.

1) Information we collect

A) Account and authentication information

When you create an account or sign in, we collect and store:

  • Email address
  • Name (as provided during registration)
  • Display name (optional / may be empty)
  • Locale (language preference)
  • Account identifiers (such as an internal user ID)
  • Account timestamps (e.g., account creation time)
  • Email verification status (and verification timestamps, if used)

Password (email login): If you sign in with email/password, we store a password value in our database in a secured form (we do not store your password in plain text).

Sign in with Apple: If you use Sign in with Apple, we store a unique Apple user identifier for your account and an email address (either your real email or Apple's private relay email, depending on your Apple settings). We do not receive your Apple ID password.

B) App content and settings you create

We store the information you create in the App, such as:

  • Timer settings (e.g., Combo/Tabata/Reaction configurations)
  • Combo lists you create
  • Records that support sharing/access to combo lists (if enabled)

C) App usage analytics and diagnostics

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the App is used and to improve usability and performance. Clarity is enabled for all users. This may collect:

  • Interaction data (screens viewed, taps, navigation patterns)
  • Device/app diagnostics (performance signals, crash/error signals)
  • Approximate location derived from IP address (country/region level)

We do not intend to collect sensitive personal data through analytics. We take steps to avoid capturing sensitive inputs (for example, password fields).

D) Emails we send

We send transactional emails needed for App functionality, such as:

  • Email verification (if enabled)

Future feature: If we add sharing features (for example, sharing a combo list), we may send an email notification to the recipient's email address. If this feature is not available in your version of the App, no such emails are sent.

We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in (if/when such an option exists).

2) How we use your information

  • Create and manage your account
  • Authenticate you and keep the App secure
  • Provide core App features (timers, saving settings, combo lists)
  • Send transactional emails related to account features (such as verification)
  • Improve the App (analytics, debugging, performance)
  • Prevent fraud/abuse and comply with legal obligations

3) Service providers and sharing

We use third-party service providers to operate the App. These providers may process data on our behalf:

  • Hosting & deployments: Vercel
  • Database: Neon (stores account data and App data such as timer settings and combo lists)
  • Email delivery: Resend (sends transactional emails such as verification and, if enabled later, sharing notifications)
  • Analytics: Microsoft Clarity (collects usage analytics/diagnostics)

We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose information if required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of users and our services.

4) Data retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the App and maintain your account, and to meet legal, accounting, or security requirements.

5) Account deletion

You can delete your account in the App (Profile / Settings → Delete account). When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data, except where we must retain certain information for legal or security purposes.

6) Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

7) Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8) International users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own depending on where our service providers operate.

9) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
